Idea Generation #3

Tuesday 10th- Group Zoom

Discussed the nervous system idea.

Mainly discussed lighting which got us all a bit confused.

We want red and blue light in the interior but people were concerned about how we'd achieve this lighting.

Using red and blue led strips would be too intense and would distract away from the aesthetic we're going for.

We want the room to be dreamy as it's the inside of his mind, but we don't want it to seem too manufactured. As the set will be dressed with rather old objects to signify memories, we felt that throwing bright coloured LED lights would make the set seem to modern.

As we want to demonstrate the nervous system, i had the idea of a complete blackout which people liked the sound of. The blackout will be the only time we use LED lights. We will use white one's as i feel it won't look too modern, instead it will add to the rather other-worldy feel that we're going for. These lights will be off for the rest of the film so they won't interfere with any of the other lights. I just think it would look really effective having this white glow in amongst a room of darkness. We will try and arrange the lights to look like the nervous system.

Vicky also suggested, in case this wasn't possible, using glow in the dark paint. This was a good solution, however, some paint can be really weak so it may not have the same rather invasive bright glow that the white LED's would have. Also, we'd have to paint on the actual set so that might hinder the other group.

Photo's with blurred out faces. He's the one who's blurred out with a pinhole in his face and light shining through.

Some pictures are blank.

The room will be split into the left brain and the right brain. One side will be blue and the other will be red- one logical and one creative. This way it makes it easier to begin to imagine up how the room will be laid out and what objects will belong to which side of the room. It gives the space more significance as well.

We agreed that there will definitely be black and white projections on the exterior of the house (either to represent roots or memories). This is still a point of discussion as half the group want memories and the other half want roots.
