Illustrations #11
I focused most of my attention on the illustrations and did a minimum of one a day. I ended up with quite a range of images and definitely found a style while drawing. Every time i'd start a new drawing, i'd just try and visualise this world in my head and think about all the things it could possibly have in it. It would usually take me a few tries before i committed to an illustration but once i did, i could see the direction i was heading in. It was good to be spontaneous as well; sometimes stick with a drawing that i maybe wasn't too sure about and turn it into something i just didn't expect at all and now really like. Some drawings began as just random scribbles on the page and turned into a fully developed scene. I drew all images on Photoshop using a Wacom Tablet. I wanted to do them digitally just because it's something i had never really done much of before and i also thought it would open up more possibilities and give me more range, which it did. I was able to come up with names for each section of the world by looking at the drawings. I wasn't going to do this at first but i thought it might just make the story seem more interactive and solidify each different part of the world in my mind; almost like the comic is a guided tour pat Watcher's way and through Technologies Toes.
