Evaluation and Final Film

FINAL FILM

Considering I began this project being certain that i was just going to come out with a concept and not an actual video, I am proud that i was able to even create something i really like. I really enjoy what I've created and even though i haven't been able to stretch it to a multi-screen piece yet, I knew that i probably wouldn't achieve that as i'd spent so much time on this animation. I was okay with that however, as I feel like I've really strengthened my animation and illustration skills.Creating a multi-screen and merging two compositions together will be my next step and i will explore this over summer. I did create a practice one so i know how to do it I just need to put content into it now. I'm just happy that I have come out with this animation. I could've easily spent less time on it and got it onto a multi-screen, but it wouldn't be as finalised as it is right now and I wouldn't change that. I probably could've managed my time better but I did struggle with the software a lot at the beginning which rather threw my motivation out the window. I only realised towards the end of all my animating and editing that i had been editing zoomed in. So, everything was a lot smaller than i thought it was and there was a lot more space (hence why i filled the second to last scene with Facebook logo's). However, i really don't mind this. In fact, I think i like it even more. I did try to increase the scale but it blurred the illustrations. I like that it's on the smaller side. It draws the eye in further and makes you focus. Luckily, most of my mistakes through out this project (and there have been a few) have been positive mistakes. i do know for the future now however, to always check at what percentage i'm editing at and whether I'm zoomed in. Overall, I'm very happy with the outcome.
